TYPE OF USE
Specifically designed for BMW and MINI cars fitted with EURO IV engines (M43CNG, M47/TU2, M57TU, M57TOP, M57TU2, M67TU…) that require "Mid SAPS" lubricants : low Sulphated Ashes (<0.8%), low Phosphorus and (< 0.08%), low Sulphur (< 0.3%).
For Diesel engines fitted with diesel particulate filters, Specific LL-04 must be used at all times. Specific LL-04 is also suitable for use in diesel engines without diesel particulate filters.

Engines compliant with EURO IV anti pollution regulation are fitted with sensitive systems for exhaust gas post treatment.
Sulphur and Phosphorus inhibit catalytic convertors operation and can damage catalytic components: inefficient exhaust gas treatment.
Sulphated Ashes clog diesel particulate filters: shorten regenerating cycle, higher fuel consumption and engine power loss.
BMW developed BMW LL-04 standard for "Mid SAPS" lubricants (low Sulphur, Phosphorus and Sulphated Ashes) compatible with post treatment systems.
This oil allows for reaching the extended drain intervals managed by the computer on board.
